From University to the Job Market – Hijjawi Foundation Career Development Center Launches Strongly

On behalf of the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry’s Secretary-General, Eng. Samira Al-Zoubi, sponsored the inauguration ceremony of the Career Development Unit and Hijjawi Foundation Career Development Center, in the presence of the Acting President of Yarmouk University; Dr. Musa Rababah, the Dean of Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology; Dr. Mohammad Al-Zubaidi, and a number of deans and distinguished guests. The center was established by Hijjawi Foundation, which has long left its distinctive mark in supporting academic and vocational education, as part of a strategic collaboration between the foundation and Yarmouk University.

The center serves as the main body responsible for preparing and qualifying the students of Hijjawi Faculty for the job market within the unit, by providing high-quality training opportunities inside and outside Jordan, contributing to creating job opportunities for graduates, and engaging them in a comprehensive developmental process aimed at enhancing their competencies and linking their academic knowledge with practical applications. The center also seeks to reduce the gap between educational outcomes and labor market needs through specialized training programs, strategic partnerships with public and private sector institutions, and initiatives that encourage students to innovate and pursue entrepreneurship.

The inauguration of the center reflectsH ijjawi Faculty’s vision of making education more practical and aligned with market needs, granting students the opportunity to refine their skills, build their experience, and turn their ambitions into tangible achievements. It is not merely an initiative but an integrated platform that enables students to discover their true potential, transform challenges into opportunities, and convert ideas into pioneering projects that contribute to building the future.

In their speeches, the attendees emphasized that Hijjawi Career Development Center represents a qualitative leap in the faculty’s journey toward excellence, serving as a bridge between classrooms and the workplace, and enhancing the ability of the faculty’s students and graduates to compete locally, regionally, and globally. They also encouraged students to take advantage of this initiative and participate in its programs and activities, noting that success begins with a single step, and that the path to excellence relies on diligence, a desire to learn, and readiness to face challenges with confidence and determination.

ijjawi Career Development Center is not merely a place for training or job-seeking; it is a space for self-discovery, skill refinement, and transforming passion into real achievements. Here, students learn that success is not given but earned through persistence and hard work, and that every challenge they encounter is an opportunity for growth and development. At this center, ambitions become pathways, ideas turn into projects, and graduates emerge as pioneers capable of competing and leading change in their fields. The future starts here, and those who believe in their abilities will find the doors wide open to their dreams.
