Hijjawi IEEE Student Branch Wins Four Prestigious National Awards

The IEEE Student Branch at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, has achieved outstanding success by winning four prestigious awards at the 2025 IEEE Annual Meeting, held at the national level.

This remarkable accomplishment is the result of the dedication, academic excellence, and professionalism demonstrated by the branch and its members, with the Hijjawi Foundation, under the leadership of Mr. Ayman Hijjawi, proudly serving as a key supporter of these student-led initiatives.

The national awards received include:

  1. Best Student Branch in Jordan
  2. Student Branch with the Highest Membership in Jordan
  3. Best IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group, supervised by Dr. Yusra Obeidat
  4. Most Impactful Technical Activity Award, under the supervision of Dr. Ateka Khader

During his visit to the Hijjawi Faculty, Yarmouk University President Prof. Islam Massad met with the students to congratulate them on their achievements. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment — together with the Hijjawi Foundation’s continuous support — to advancing student excellence, innovation, and impactful technical activities.
