In July, Yarmouk University proudly hosted TEDxYarmoukUniversity 2025, organized by the Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology. The event featured a distinguished lineup of Jordanian and Arab speakers who shared inspiring experiences, groundbreaking ideas, and innovative insights across the fields of thought, science, literature, medicine, and engineering.
The event was led by student Hassan Abu Sarris (Licensee & Lead Organizer) from the Department of Computer Engineering at the Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology, supported by a volunteer team of university students. The conference served as a unique platform for exchanging entrepreneurial ideas and highlighting inspiring success stories from the heart of Jordan to the world.
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Mr. Ayman Hijjawi, Chairman of the Hijjawi Foundation, who brought a practical perspective and field-based vision to the conference. He delivered a moving speech in which he shared his personal and professional journey. In his address, Hijjawi highlighted key milestones in his career, from humble beginnings and major challenges, through financial and administrative difficulties, to achieving tangible accomplishments that left a clear mark, emphasizing that persistence, clear vision, and strong will were essential pillars in overcoming obstacles.
This event further reinforced Yarmouk University's academic and creative presence on the international stage, while underscoring its mission to empower youth and support innovation.
