Hijjawi Students Join International Training Program in Taiwan
In a step reflecting the commitment of the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology at Yarmouk University to providing its students with top educational and training opportunities, six students have been selected to participate in the International Training Program funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in Taiwan. This four-month program is supported by the Hijjawi Foundation, led by Mr. Ayman Hijjawi.
The students, from the Departments of Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, and Computer Engineering, are currently undergoing specialized training at prestigious Taiwanese universities. Abdullah Na’amneh from the Department of Electronics Engineering joined the Advanced Mixed Operating System Lab at Tamkang University, specializing in the design of integrated electronic circuits. Sedil Al-Azzam, also from the Electronics Engineering Department, is training at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, focusing on artificial intelligence applications in medical electronics.
Additionally, Yara Shalabi, Atab Obeidat, and Razan Al-Lahham from the Computer Engineering Department are working in specialized laboratories at Yuan Ze University, with a focus on smart computing and networking. Meanwhile, Rania Al-Qawasmi from the Communications Engineering Department is training in the Microgrid and Power Conversion Lab at Yuan Ze University, where her work centers on electrical grids and power conversion technologies.
This training program aims to enhance students’ research and practical skills, providing them with global expertise in their fields of specialization. It also seeks to foster innovation and creativity while building academic networks with researchers from diverse nationalities.
Dr. Mohammad Alzubaidi, Dean of the Hijjawi Faculty, praised this exceptional opportunity, expressing his pride in the outstanding students representing the faculty in this international program. He noted that such initiatives reflect the faculty’s commitment — supported by the Hijjawi Foundation — to equipping students with the best educational opportunities and opening new horizons for their academic and professional growth.
Mr. Ayman Hijjawi, Chairman of the Hijjawi Foundation, commended the students on their dedication and ambition. He highlighted that supporting students in global training programs is a key priority for the Foundation, which remains devoted to empowering talented youth, encouraging research excellence, and helping students gain the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.
